Running a business is hard. Actually, starting a business is harder! When I started my business, I learned the hard way with so many of the things I now know as normal. From taxes to social media to legality to shooting, I feel like I’ve crammed decades of learning in my first few years being a full time photographer. All the trial and error wasn’t totally necessary though. In fact, the only thing I would really change as I started out would be investing in education from someone who had already learned all about my questions. That’s where mentorships come in!
I offer a couple different options for mentorships to best fit your needs.
A 45 minute Zoom call with me! We go over a presentation I make for YOU based on the personalized questionnaire I send over! Amazing way to get started in your business or level up what you already have started.
Investment: $100
2. PRO
A 45 minute zoom call with me plus a 45 minute styled shoot with a couple! You get all the goodness of the Elevate call plus actually getting your hands dirty practicing on a real life couple.
Investment: $450

A lot! Bring a notebook! I spend lots of time going through the answers you give on my personalized questionnaire so that I can best craft a presentation to fit your needs. You’ll walk away with a fire under your booty to go create and better your biz! No questions are off limits. I started with nothing, and I’m excited to offer as much knowledge as I can!
Still unsure? I want to share a few of my experiences as a young business owner to start your process of exploring the idea of photography education!
This is one of the biggest questions I get during mentorships: “How do I know how to price myself?” During our call, I’ll walk you through what I’ve learned about the market, supply and demand, and how this affects how you price yourself! After I got a handle on this, I was able to double my prices and see no difference in booking speed.
2. Boundaries matter
Another question I get a lot is: “How do I develop personal and work boundaries when working for myself?” Ohhhh boy! What a challenge. Now that I’m on my third year of full time photography, I finally feel like I have a handle on this. Boundaries began in my business as a flimsy and flippant term. Now; however, they’re crucial.
3. Settings matter
Going full time, I still didn’t know how to shoot in Manual mode on my camera. I sat down with a good friend of mine who graciously walked me through the basics. From there, I learned how valuable Manual was! I immediately stopped shooting in Auto and WOW did I see a difference in my work. I dive into the nitty gritty of manual mode often in my mentorships (snag this freebie all about manual settings and read this blog to get started, too!)
Ready to dive in? I can’t wait to hear what you’re dreaming up. Check out more about what I offer to click here to chat!
Always cheering you on!!
